How to Earn Your CPLP Designation

To access any PLUS educational content, attend events, etc., you must be a member.
Requirement #2: Enroll in the CPLP designation program to track your progress
Enrolling in the designation program streamlines your experience by allowing you to track your progress, affirm your completion, and receive your designation. *Purchasing additional modules during the enrollment process is optional. If you choose to purchase anything, note that all available versions of a module may be listed, including versions of a module you may already have. You should only select 1 version (e.g. non-CE eligible, CE-eligible, or waiver) of the module(s) you don't have already.
**Starting April 15, 2025, there will be a $150 application fee required for each designation program you enroll in.
Requirement #3: Have 2 years of insurance industry experience
If you don't currently meet this requirement, you can still enroll in the designation program and work on the other requirements. Once all requirements are satisfied, your designation will be reviewed and approved.

How are modules and exams formatted?
Modules are available in an interactive eLearning format and are accessible from any device with internet connection. There is also an exam component required for each module except Module 1: Fundamentals of Liability Insurance. The exam format and how you complete it depends on whether you have a CE-eligible module or non-CE eligible module. Both the module and its corresponding exam component must be completed to satisfy the requirement for a designation or certificate program.
